2016 wasn’t a productive quilting year, but there were still some accomplishments. In the Quilters’ Guild of Arlington Festival of Quilts, I did have some ribbons. Nautilus in Purple won Honorable Mention in Modern Quilts. Even though the Michael Miller challenge for Quiltcon didn’t make it into Quiltcon, it did win 2nd Place in Art Quilt. I also entered Oh Howly Night in Master Wall Applique and the Modern View of the Trinity in the Group Quilt.
I am rather proud of a gift I made for my best friend’s son who graduated high school and was going off to the Merchant Marine Academy. It was based on a picture of fighter jets in a sunset.
